Leader Reports
Tigers – Stephanie Michaud – 3 Tigers ready to receive Bobcat Badge. All ready for Tiger Totem. Den progressing well, although some appear to have dropped out as they have not attended any meetings.
Wolfs – N/A
Bears – Bear dens working well. Advancement info not available at committee meeting.
Webelos 1 – Roger Plante – All have earned their Forester badge and are working on Citizenship. Targeting December for Webelos Badge
Webelos 2 – Debra Devoe – Progress on various badges by Web 2, including Communicator, Outdoorsman, Forester, and others. Some compass points to be awarded as well.
Officer Reports
Committee Chairman – NA
Treasurer – Finances low until fund raiser income has been deposited. Enough money in checking account for awards, but will need to bring a check to Council.
Advancement Chairman – NA
Cubmaster – Need to have Den Leaders present or represented by an alternate at Committee meetings to get awards and other information collected.
New Business
Bear Den 1 and Web 1 to swap responsibilities for November Pack meeting so that Webelos can fulfill leading a flag ceremony for Citizenship.
Reminder: Dues for 2008 will be collected at the November Pack meeting. Amount is $25 / Scout. Boys Life is $12 if desired. Please let your Scouts know before the Pack Meeting.
Reminder: All popcorn money is due no later than the November Pack meeting!
Awards for this years top popcorn salesmen: 1st place: $90 – Scout Bucks, 2nd place: $40 – Scout Bucks, 3rd place: $20 Scout Bucks. The decision was made at the committee meeting to go with Scout Bucks because it is immediate recognition, the Scouts can use it for uniform or other scout stuff, and (I believe) it can be applied to camp fees.
Top sales by Den information not available yet. Once it has been sorted out, we will plan the pizza party for that Den.
Questions for upcoming Committee Meeting: Can we sell popcorn during other times of the year, and if so, how? (M.J.). Bob to research Battleship Cove cost.
Next committee meeting – December 10, 6:30, American Legion Hall.
